Morning Sun Books "Open-Top Loads: Flatcar and Gondola Color Portfolio Volume 4"

Beschreibung

Open Top Loads: Flatcar and Gondola Color Portfolio Volume 4 from Morning Sun Books is a treasure trove of ideas for modeling freight car loads. "Open-Top Load" is the term given to the handling of products or commodities on flatcars or in gondolas. These products are usually too large or bulky to fit into boxcars, and-or they are loose inexpensive material not suitable for a hopper car. These volumes feature large color photos of gondolas and flatcars with such loads, mostly recorded in the 1960s to the 1980s. The volumes are differentiated by the product or commodity carried, each which carry different AAR requirements for bracing, banding or other special instructions. Open Top Loads: Flatcar and Gondola Color Portfolio Volume 4 covers scrap metal, structural steel, tanks, boiler shells, prefab track, track turnouts, transformers, trucks, wallboard, plywood, wheels, wrecked RR carbodies and more! Softcover, 96 pages.
