Four Ways West Publications "Shortlines of the Intermountain West"

Beschreibung

Hundreds of never-before-published photographs! This third title by noted rail photographer and historian, Jim Shaw, features an in depth look at the many shortlines operated in the Intermountain West: Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Colorado, between the 1950s and present. There are 44 shortlines presented by geographical areas. Each is presented with a brief history and the many vivid color and crisp black and white photographs are comprehensively captioned. This lavishly illustrated book has a limited print run so don't miss out. There have been many days and long hours spent searching for, chasing and photographing these elusive shortline operations. Many operate only once a day or even a couple of days per week-not the easiest train chasing! The author presents a great look at these historic and colorful shortline railroads.
